1881 Morgan Silver Dollar
While 9.2 million of this issue were struck for circulation, today it’s estimated that as few as 175,000 survived (that would be less than 2%). The reason is that vast numbers were lost in government melts during the world wars. The principal Philadelphia Mint Morgan issues carry no mintmark. WOW!! Don't Miss this Opportunity!!
5¢ US Military Payment Certificates Vietnam War
MPC 641 5 Cent US Military Payment Certificate. It is printed in purple, green and blue ink and hails from Series 641. It says "for use only in United States Military establishments - by United States authorized personnel in accoudance with applicable rules and regulations" Five cent paper note printed on both sides. The design on the front features a portrait of a female on the left side of the note, printed in green and red. The reverse design features an eagle with wings spread landing on a faces (sp?, the same as found on the back of a Mercury Dime), printed in purple and blue. It has no signatures.
1879-P Morgan Silver Dollar SGS MS65
Many were lost in government melts - hugely disproportionate to other mints' issues of the day. Today as little as 5% of its original production is estimated to survive in our nicely detailed Very Fine quality or higher grades. It costs no more than other issues of the era with several times as many surviving numbers. The no-mintmark Philadelphia Mint second-year issue reflected minor design changes that became the standard for the lengthy Morgan dollar series. In 1879 and for years afterwards, a Morgan dollar was a day's pay for many Americans.
LOT- 11 Roosevelt Dimes, 1 Graded MS-70
(2) 1965, (2) 1966, (3) 1967, (3) 1968-D, (1) 1969-D; The Roosevelt Dime is a US dime piece that was first produced in 1946, shortly after the death of the nation's 32nd President. The dime piece was chosen to honor President Franklin Delano Roosevelt because of all of his work with the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis (known today as the March of Dimes) and people were encouraged to send a dime donation, hence the new name March of Dimes. President Roosevelt worked hard to get the Foundation up and running. U.S. Mint Director Nellie Tayloe Ross wanted the new Roosevelt Dime ready to be released on what would have been President Roosevelt's 64th birthday, January 30, 1946 which was also the day that the 1946 March of Dimes fundraiser was to kick off. So, instead of the normal contest among American artists for the design of the coin, Chief Engraver John R. Sinnock was chosen to design the new dime piece. On the Reverse a torch symbolizing liberty, an olive branch symbolizing peace and an oak branch symbolizing victory!! Don't Miss these Gems or Send Them in to The March of Dimes for a Donation & Write it Off!!

Lot-1964, 1969-D, 1973-S Washington Quarters
1964 MS-69, 1969-D ms-68, 1973-S PR-70; The Washington quarter was issued to commemorate George Washington's 200th birthday. It proved so popular with the American public that it inspired the regular series that continues today (with modified reverse designs). Although the regular Standing Liberty quarter of the day still had years to go to reach its legal 25-year term, Congress retired it. The obverse portrait is based on Jean Antoine Houdon's 1785 bust of Washington, modeled from his life at Mount Vernon. The image captures the determined heroism of a great leader who unblinkingly faced enormous challenges. The traditional eagle reverse was replaced in 1999 at the start of the "Statehood" quarter series.

1922-S Peace Silver Dollar-Scarce Date
After the Philadelphia Mint introduced the Peace silver dollar late in 1921, this famous "S" branch mint released its first issue in 1922. The Peace dollar was to be the last silver dollar type struck for U.S. commerce by "the Granite Lady," which had been one of the few public buildings to survive the 1906 San Francisco earthquake intact. The 1922-S issue is by far the scarcest for that date.

Lincoln Head Penny Collection In Vintage Folder
1941-1965 plus 6 extra!! This is a very nice set. The first Lincoln cent of 1909 was issued for the 100th Anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth. It replaced the Indian Head cent, which had been struck since 1859, prior to the Civil War. President Teddy Roosevelt had been very impressed by a Lincoln memorial plaque by the distinguished engraver Victor D. Brenner. Based on a Civil War portrait, it was recognized as the finest engraved depiction of Lincoln. Brenner adapted this engraving for the new Lincoln cent. It was the first time in U.S. minting history that a portrait of an historical figure appeared on American coins intended for circulation. (The 1892-1893 Columbus commemorative half dollar was not minted for commerce.) The Lincoln cent established the U.S. presidential coin sequence continued in 1938 with the Jefferson nickel and completed in 1971 with the Eisenhower dollar. The Lithuanian-born Brenner originally inscribed his name on the Lincoln penny model, as was customary with European engravers. On the first "VDB" Lincoln cent of 1909, his initials appear on the reverse "Wheat" side. After release, the coin won great acclaim but some objected that the initials were obtrusively large. Later in 1909, a second type was issued without initials. A simple "B" engraver's initial was suggested, but U.S. Mint Chief Engraver Charles Barber protested that it might be mistaken for his name (and he was not fond of the Lincoln cent). After Barber's death, Brenner's initials were restored in small form on the obverse side. In 1922, only the Denver Mint struck Lincoln pennies. But on a very limited number the die was damaged so that the "D" mintmark was erased. This 1922 "Plain" rarity is a great collector favorite. As World War II munitions production peaked, the 1943 steel cent temporarily replaced 95% copper cents. In 1944-1946 special cents were struck from copper recycled from spent artillery shells. On the Lincoln penny's 50th anniversary in 1959, the Lincoln Memorial reverse replaced the long-standing Wheatie design, 1909-1958.

America's last silver dollar struck for circulation, the "Peace" dollar emerged after World War I. On the obverse is an ardent personification of Liberty, partly inspired by the Statue of Liberty. The spires of her crown echo the sunrays on the opposite side. This early 1922 Philadelphia Mint issue introduced the modified-relief engravings that became the standard for the series, which ended in 1935.This is a Beautiful Coin from a great collection!!

1980 Susan B. Anthony Dollar TAS MS-68 W/Appraisal
The copper-nickel Susan B. Anthony dollar didn't catch on in commerce in 1979-1981 and later in 1999. This ground-breaking small dollar coin closely resembled the quarter in color and size. And U.S. dollar bills were not phased out when the Susan B. Anthony dollar was introduced. No coins were produced from 1981-1998. In 1999 additional coins were minted to meet the needs of vending machines. Issued to honor Women's Rights leader, Susan B. Anthony who fought for women's suffrage in the 19th century, this was the first instance a woman of historical significance appearing on a circulating U.S. coin. The reverse design matches that on the Eisenhower dollar. Includesan Insurance Appraisal in the amount of $4,400.00, Control Number F035966.

1898 Morgan Silver Dollar KEY DATE, Rarity
Most of the key rarities in the Morgan silver dollar series are from the 1890s. The reason is that Morgan mintages plummeted after the repeal of the Silver Purchase Act in 1893. Even when mintages began to rise again in the late 1890s, they remained relatively low compared to earlier decades. The 1898 Philadelphia Mint Morgan is twice as scarce as the 1896 … and up to ten times scarcer than some 1880s issues. The principal mint in the year of the Spanish-American War, when the nation began to take its place on the world stage. Some bag marks are present, as is normal. Includes Appraisal Certificate.

The Morgan series was suspended after 1904 and six years later existing hubs were destroyed. Congress later decided to have a final Morgan dollar production in 1921. The restored engravings generally had less relief than earlier Morgans. Another unique attribute is that the 1921 issue is the only San Francisco date to carry a "Microscopic S" mintmark. This special feature makes the 1921-S issue stand out in any S-Mint collection. Only a small fraction of its mintage survives. Includes the Insurance Appraisal, Control Number F032044

Vast numbers of this early San Francisco Mint Peace dollar issue were lost in government melts of World War II. Today a silver dollar encyclopedia estimates that as few as 0.2% (one in 500) of the original 1923-S production may exist today in MS quality. The Denver Mint opened in 1906, thus the 1921-D Morgan was the first and only Morgan to carry a “D” mintmark. The 1921 engraving differs slightly from earlier dies and the “micro” D mintmark was a short-lived experiment. Includes an Insurance Appraisal, Control Number F032030
1925 Peace Silver Dollar
In 1925, the Philadelphia Mint's production was only about 20% of the peak 1922 Peace dollar mintage (because of a series quota, outputs gradually diminished). And the 1925 issue was generally better struck than early dates - it's known for crisp detailing and fine luster. After huge World War II melts, well under 10% of its original limited mintage may have survived.

In the first half of the 20th century, the no-mintmark Philadelphia Morgan dollar issue was a very elusive rarity. That’s because only a tiny percentage had been released into circulation. In 1925, a numismatist reported that he had been unable to find a single circulated 1897 Philadelphia Morgan in commerce, after a six-year search! And mint-state specimens were even tougher to find until the 1950s. The large majority had been lost in government melts. Then the U.S. Treasury sold off all its last remaining bags of the series, which included a number of BU 1897 Philadelphia Morgans. 1922 Peace Silver Dollar
America's last silver dollar struck for circulation, the "Peace" dollar emerged after World War I. On the obverse is an ardent personification of Liberty, partly inspired by the Statue of Liberty. The spires of her crown echo the sunrays on the opposite side. Quality highlights every detail on these magnificent engravings.
1890-S Morgan Dollar
After the first five San Francisco Mint Morgan issues of 1878-1882, S-mintmark BUs become really tough to find. The 1890-S San Francisco Mint issue is at the most affordable level of S-Mint Morgan BUs in the 1883-1904 span. "S" Morgans from these years typically cost tens of thousands of dollars. Perhaps 1% of the comparatively limited 1890-S Morgan dollar production may survive today in mint-state quality. Some bags marks are present, as is normal. Includes Appraisal Certificate!
1896 Morgan Silver Dollar PL-67 KEY DATE
Most of the key rarities in the Morgan silver dollar series are from the 1890s, when mintages plummeted after the repeal of the Silver Purchase Act in 1893. Even when Morgan mintages began to rise again late in that decade, they remained relatively low compared to earlier production numbers. Today the 1896 Philadelphia Mint Morgan issue stands out as one of the best buys from “the rare decade.” The 1893-1895 generally cost thousands of dollars, but the 1896 Philadelphia (no mintmark) is easily affordable. Uncirculated quality has nice original luster and no sign of wear (some bag marks are present, as is normal). Includes Appraisal Certificate!!

1921 Morgan Silver Dollar PL-67 w/Appraisal
This final issue was redesigned by the U.S. Mint's George T. Morgan, 43 years after he created his original Morgan silver dollar of 1878. The Morgan series was suspended in 1904 and the existing hubs destroyed. So the revived final 1921 date had to be recreated and features a unique look in the series, with generally less relief. This Philadelphia is certified MS-67 Brilliant Uncirculated and has appreciably nicer luster and surfaces than an average mint-state issue. The "slab" Morgan silver dollar will come in a protective transparent case with the respected consensus grade and Certificate! certification. Lower-grade average BU sells for the same price.Includes Appraisal Certificate from a Certified G.I.A. Appraiser at Trinity Appraisal Service in the amount of $20,000.00. Morgan silver dollar mintages steadily rose in the 1880s, when silver was still pouring out of the great Western mines. But unlike other coins of the day, many Morgans were held in reserve at banks and issuing mints. And vast quantities of these Morgans were later lost in government melts. So original mintages can be very deceiving in relation to the actual number of Morgans now surviving for individual issues. Just 3% of this issues original mintage may survive in mint-state quality. This coins quality appears to be excellent, has nice original luster and no sign of wear (some bags marks are present, as is normal).
1886 Morgan Silver Dollar DMPL67 w/Appraisal
This no-mintmark Morgan of the principal mint was struck during the heyday of the popular series. Its mintage of 19.2 million broke the previous individual record for Morgan production. But that original mintage is very deceptive in our day, because a vast number were held in storage at the Treasury, and later melted down during the two world wars. In fact, fewer than 10% of the original production is estimated to survive today in the mint-state quality. Our Brilliant Uncirculated quality has nice original luster and no sign of wear (some bags marks are present, as is normal). Diameter 38.1mm, Weight 26.73 grams, Composition .900 silver. Includes Appraisal Certificate in the amount of $52,000.00.
1923-S Peace Silver Dollar MS-67 w/Appraisal
Vast numbers of this early San Francisco Mint Peace dollar issue were lost in government melts of World War II. Today a silver dollar encyclopedia estimates that as few as 0.2% (one in 500) of the original 1923-S production may exist today in mint-state quality and even fewer in this grade!!. Yet the 1923-S Peace dollar is reasonably affordable! Nice original luster and no sign of wear. Includes Appraisal Certificate in the amount of $65,000.00.

This early 1922 Philadelphia Mint issue introduced the modified-relief engravings that became the standard for the series, which ended in 1935. This High Quality Coin highlights every detail on these magnificent engravings .Includes Appraisal Certificate in the amount of $90,000.00.

1921-S Morgan Silver Dollar PL-66 w/Appraisal
EXTREMELY RARE IN THIS GRADE!! The Morgan silver dollar series was suspended in 1904, and six years later the U.S. Mint destroyed the existing hubs. Then, in 1921, the government decided that more Morgan silver dollars were needed. George T. Morgan, now the U.S. Mint's Chief Engraver, had to redesign his famous coin from original 1878 models. His re-creation was somewhat different from all earlier Morgans, with generally less relief. Another unique attribute is that the 1921 issue is the only San Francisco date to carry a "Microscopic S" mintmark. This Coin is an exceptionally high quality with nice original luster and no sign of wear (some bags marks are present, as is normal). Includes Appraisal Certificate in the amount of $95,000.00.

3 Coin Set of 1921-P,D & S Morgan Silver Dollars
When the Morgan silver dollar series was suspended after the 1904 minting, everyone supposed it was ended for all time. In fact, six years later the U.S. Mint thought it was safe to destroy the existing hubs. Then, in 1921, the government decided that more Morgan silver dollars were needed. George T. Morgan, now the U.S. Mint's Chief Engraver, had to redesign his famous coin from original 1878 models he'd created 43 years earlier! His re-creation was somewhat different from all earlier Morgans, with generally less relief. In short, the last Morgan silver dollar had a new look - unique in the series. Another unique attribute is that the 1921 issues carry Microscopic "S" and "D" mintmarks. This distinctive feature makes 1921 issues stand out in any collection and adds to their collector appeal. The Denver branch mint opened in 1906, following the suspension of the Morgan dollar series after 1904. So the only D-mintmark issue in the series came when the Morgan dollar was briefly revived in 1921. This is an Exquisite Set to own and comes in a display box!!

The Gladiator's Watch-Genuine 324-361AD Coin
The Colosseum is quiet now, but 1600 years ago it was loud with the clash of steel, the roars of big cats and the shouting of 50,000 spectators. When the Roman gladiators were good, they enjoyed fame and fortune. When they were great, they became heroes. The greatest fought for years and some scored as many as 150 victories. Such long careers were made even more impressive by the fact that defeat often meant death. There was no such thing as an "off season." Every battle was for first place and any day could have been their last. A the 4th Century Roman design Coin Watch celebrating noble warriors. Taking a place of honor at the center of the unique dial is a genuine Roman coin minted between 324-361 AD, during the reign of the Constantine dynasty. This is the very same ancient coin gladiators would earn as victory pay. Inscribed underneath is "Carpe Diem" (Latin for "Seize the Day"), which must have been the mantra for men in constant combat. The watch marks the hours in the narrow window that shows a rotating inner dial. A red hand tracks the minutes along the outer dial, marked with blued Roman numerals. The distinctive face is housed inside a sturdy, 14K gold-fused case with an exhibition back to showcase the meticulous automatic movement. The timepiece fastens with a brown, genuine leather band and is water-resistant up to 3 ATMs. A heroic blend of history and modern style that more than earns it a 'thumbs up" from James Martinez!!!!
